New electronic voting equipment that will be up and running for the 2006 election was recently selected by the state of Utah. The touch screen computers manufactured by Diebold will allow voters to correct errors before casting their final votes and allow those with disabilities to vote in private. At our luncheon, members of the committee will be on hand to answer some of the questions that have been raised by voters.
The October 7th luncheon will be held in the Auditorium of the State Office Building (north of the State Capitol Building) beginning at 12:00 noon. Due to limited space, please make your reservations early. The luncheon will be catered. Reservations or cancellations must be received no later than Tuesday, October 4th. No shows will be billed. Limited parking is available in the east parking lot. Please carpool or use public transportation where possible.
The cost of the luncheon is $12.00 for members, students and Buzz Supporters and $15.00 for nonmembers.
