Retirements Up 30%
In the wake of the Legislature’s change to sick day benefits for State employees this year, the Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that retirements are up 30%. This is great news, as far as I can tell. When I was CIO, I often felt like workers who stayed on too long was one of the biggest drawbacks to the workforce. The turnover, while painful in the short term will certainly have a positive effect overall.
