Public Policy on Broadband
TechRepublic has a lengthly, but good article on public policy and broadband. The article talks about the susceptibility of State legislators to big money utilities in blocking municipalities that try to step into the void. We saw how true that is last winter in Utah. I think the ultimate outcome was acceptable, but it took a lot of work. A speaking of UTOPIA, I understand that their pilot built-out is amlost ready to begin. This DesNews article talks about some of the work they’re doing on the administrative side.
