Curtis Has it Backwards
House Majority Leader and Sandy Representative Greg Curtis resigned from his position as county attorney last week after it became clear that he had received over $800 in travel reimbursements for driving his county owned vehicle on legislative business. It seems to me, however, that Mr. Curtis has it backwards. Isn’t it the people of the State of Utah that he stole from? Why not resign from his State position? The answer is simple, of course: he wants to be speaker so bad it hurts.
Update: KSL has a story about double dipping on salary by Curtis as well. This appears to be more of a County than a State issue.
